Most Wanted
On January
27th The Sunday Mail Newspaper in Brisbane reported that 20 Mentally Ill
Offenders had escaped in the last 9 years and were still Missing. Bowing
under pressure from the Queensland Premier, Peter Beattie, Queensland Health
were forced to release photographs and details of the escapees - in order
for them to be identified and found. Within 24 hours 14 people (out of
19) had been found, all but five had fled interstate. The 20th person Claude
Gabriel was located in Italy. At the time of writing there were still 5
missing, but I do not know full name details of who is still missing/wanted.

Police
Seek help identifying female Thief
Five Brisbane
financial institutions have been robbed within two months by a female disguising
her identity with a wig and hat. Police believe the woman must be recognisable
to someone, whether it be family, friends or neighbours. They urge anyone
who knows the offender to contact police.
The first of
the robberies occurred at Suncorp Metway, Lutwyche, at 12.20pm on August
28. She stood in line for nine minutes before approaching the teller and
asking the teller to fill a bag with money. Three days later she robbed
the Ashgrove Suncorp Metway, followed on September 11 when she repeated
her method at Marooka Suncorp Metway. The Westpac Bank on Racecourse Road,
Hamilton, was the next bank robbed. She appeared calm when she walked into
the bank at 3.25pm, approached the teller and walked away with a bag of
money. At this robbery she wore a loose fitting white shirt with three
quarter sleeves, navy blue pants and a white and blue baggy hat. She also
wore a black wig which police believe has been worn at all the robberies.
Her most recent
robbery was at Suncorp Metway at Coorparoo on October 15 where she wore
a similar white top with a dark cardigan and dark pants. Again she wore
a black wig and dark sunglasses. The woman is described as being Caucasian
with a slim build, 165cm, in her 30’s with clear fair to olive complexion.
Several witnesses have described her as having a distinctive wide nose.
Anyone with
information about the armed robberies or the identity of the offender should
contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
