owners / admin.
I have not listed
their URL or linked them here because I asked repeatedly for a reciprocal
link for more than a year and they could not be bothered responding to
my mail. Eventually after mailing them five times, I finally got a response.
In effect they coldly told me, "We don't do links."
At the time of their
refusal, TPN was getting 16 million hits a year.
I put their site under
the microscope in February 2002 and was dismayed with my findings. A site
based on schools seems to have a lot of ghost schools (schools that don't
exist) a lot on nonsense or fabricated schools, the names of towns, suburbs
and places clearly questionable as to whether they should even be listed.
Such as non-training hospital and psychiatric centres, Kindergartens, Schools
of the Air, Distance Education and Correspondence Organisations who keep
no student records or student register, and who are unlikely to seek others
who attended the same place.
Most schools were listed
twice or more. I found many listed four times. The Catholic College Of
Education (NSW) was listed 5 times, and others listed more.
RMIT (in Melbourne)
had 106 listings! Why?
