Missing person list may provide clue to muster body

Police in Central Australia believe human remains discovered in dense scrubland on a property about 40 kilometres south of Tennant Creek may have been there for seven years.

A helicopter pilot spotted a vehicle in the scrubland yesterday during a cattle muster and a closer inspection revealed the remains in the vehicle.

Police say the vehicle was not visible from the ground.

Senior Sergeant Chris Evans says they may have identified the body through their missing person list.

"It was a vehicle that was also on our missing list and we believe that is from seven years ago so we have indicators of who the person possibly is," he said.

"At this stage we can not confirm anything because there is not enough to go on."

Perhaps the Police should check the NT Missing Persons List.
This is who we think it is.
