Australian Federal Police in Brisbane are seeking public assistance in locating a child who is the subject of a Family Court Recovery Order.

Neil Jeffrey Alan Threlfall, 13 years old, was allegedly taken by his mother Betty Threlfall nee Mackay, 
during a contact visit in Brisbane on Monday 22 July 2002.

Elsie Elizabeth (Betty) Threlfall (nee Mackay)

They are believed to be travelling in a white Mazda 323 Protégé four-door sedan, Qld registration 990 
CTC with damage to the rear passenger side bumper bar. 

They were last seen near the Family Court building in Brisbane. 

Neil is described as male with dark hair (number 3 cut), brown eyes and stocky build.

Federal Agents have concerns for the well being of the child and are anxious to hear from anyone in the public who may have information as to his whereabouts.

Federal Agents urge anyone who may have seen Neil and his mother to contact the Australian Federal 
Police in Brisbane on (07) 32221430 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000

Neil Threlfall was recovered in Katherine, Northern Territory, Friday afternoon 9th August 2002.
Neil is being held on a 14 day order from Family Services.
