Missing tourist's family looking for more clues
The family of a British tourist who disappeared on Queensland's Fraser Island has returned to the place he was last seen, almost one year after he vanished.
David Eason was 46 years old when he disappeared on March 29 last year.
Police found no trace of him despite a massive air, sea and land search.
Inspector Pat Ryan from Maryborough police says Mr Eason's disappearance remains a mystery.
"We are hopeful that with his anniversary coming up that some member of the public, with the media campaign that is going on, that it may jog their memory to give us some other lead that we can follow to try and provide some answers to the family who are out here," he said.
"That's the thing, they're going through a lot of grief at the present time just not knowing what's occurred with Mr Eason."
