The Hospital
began its life in 1908 as 'Mount Kareenya' Hospital, located at the top
of St. Georges Terrace in Mount Street, Perth. It closed in 19?? In 1986
the hospital was rebuilt and relocated to Mount Bay Road, near the Old
Swan Brewery site at the foot of Kings Park. The 'original' hospital in
Mount Street was a Perth landmark for many years. I did my surgical training
there in 1976.
